Eileen will be working closely with OA’s chief executive, Mark Vickers to develop and improve the trust’s family of alternative provision academies. Eileen’s focus will be to support the leadership, strategic development and improvement of all academies in the trust, ensuring the educational success of all the academies and OA pupils.
Eileen Hinds has a varied and extensive background in education, having worked in primary, secondary and special education, as well as holding senior leader roles in three local authorities. Additionally, Eileen was executive headteacher of a group of four pupil referral units and took two of them out of Ofsted categories consecutively within an 18 month period.
Since 2010 Eileen has been working independently with schools in challenging circumstances, supporting them to become good and outstanding schools. Eileen has also developed her work as an executive leadership coach both nationally and internationally within the public and private sectors.

Eileen will be taking up this permanent post on 1st September 2017.
