Olive Academies attracts people who care about removing barriers to learning for children and young people. Our alternative provision academies are nurturing, inclusive communities which re-engage students; students who have found the pressures of mainstream school life difficult to manage. “I heard Mark Vickers, CEO of Olive Academies, speaking at an event. I heard him describe the ethos of OA and his vision of what alternative provision could and should provide children. I liked what he had to say and thought, I want to be part of this. I got in touch with Mark and was so pleased, a year later, to be appointed as an assistant headteacher and SENCo at an OA academy.” Charlotte Wright, Olive AP Academy – Havering
